At that time the artist began his street career, writing tags on subway trains and throughout the urban landscape.
Kool Koor and his fellow artists were among the first to completely diverge from “classical” graffiti art, pushing the boundaries of their work to transform urban graffiti into something completely innovative in the art scene.
Through collaborative and individual works on trains, Kool Koor brought South Bronx style to downtown Manhattan in places like Fashion Moda, the first gallery to focus on street artists from the Bronx and later around the world, through public projects and exhibitions in the most important museums in the world.
